The method involves creating a permanent private connection between a platform (5) and one of two operator networks (1, 2), and creating another permanent private connection between the platform and a network operator centre (4). A request is received from a mobile communication terminal (18), and the terminal and a service required by the terminal is identified. A user data base (15) of the platform is interrogated to determine whether the identified terminal serves for prepay for the required service. The credit of the user of the terminal is counted for the required prepaid service.
