An exercise device comprises a step 1 having an exercise surface 2 thereon, the exercise surface 2 being operable, in use, to be stood upon by a user during exercise, wherein the exercise device further comprises sensing means 3 operable, in use, to detect the presence of a user on the exercise surface and being arranged to output a signal in response to the said detected presence. The device may provide the user with feedback on various physical or physiological data of the exercise regime. For example, the number of steps taken, distance climbed or calorie consumption. |
