Sanitizer for refuse container

A sanitizer for a portable refuse container comprises a housing, an atomizer within the housing for containing sanitizing material, a nozzle attached to the housing and the atomizer for dispersing the sanitizing material outside of the housing and a timer to control operation of the atomizer, the housing capable of being releasably attached to the portable refuse container. The nozzle may be provided on the end of a flexible pipe which is connected to the atomizer. There may be a plurality of nozzles. The timer may be settable to predetermined time intervals. A bracket suitable for attaching a device to a container is also disclosed.
