The invention relates to a detection device (18,19) for detecting a temperature of an object, in particular a living being. The detection device can be connected to at least one temperature sensor (5,7) and is arranged to send a current (1,I1,I2) for temperature detection to the temperature sensor (5,7) and to receive at least one temperature signal, which represents a temperature of the temperature sensor. The detection device (18,19) is arranged to generate, in dependence on the temperature signal of the temperature sensor, a temperature signal which represents the temperature of the object, and to output said temperature signal at the output side. The detection device is arranged to generate a heating current and to apply the heating current to the temperature sensor during a heating time segment, so that a total current, comprising the current (I1,I2) for the temperature detection and the heating current, is greater than the current for the temperature detection, and thus to heat the temperature sensor (5,7). Provision of the heating current enables a more rapid detection of the temperature of the living being. The temperature detection device may comprise a double temperature sensor which comprises a first temperature sensor 5 and a second temperature sensor 7 and a heat transfer element 9 with a predetermined heat transfer resistance disposed between them. |
