A pendulum clock comprises a pendulum clockwork with acoustic signaling means contained in a housing. The housing comprises vertical surface elements made of metal, optionally comprising openings in a minor part of the surface and at least one horizontal surface element. The specific surface mass of one horizontal and of the vertical metal surface elements is at least three. The acoustic properties of the housing a therefore improved. The vertical elements may be made of chromium-nickel steel. The horizontal elements may be marble, natural stone or glass. |
