PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide luxurious appearance for a pointer display at night by efficiently guiding light from a backlight for a liquid crystal display element to the pointer. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display element constructed by drilling a through-hole 25 in the liquid crystal display panel 2 and by passing a pointer rotary shaft 4 of an analog indicating instrument through the through-hole 25, a light diffusion member is included in a hole part sealing material 24 for the through-hole 25 and at the same time a pointer 42 is attached to a shaft tip part of the pointer rotary shaft 4 via a light reflection transmission plate 41. Irradiating light from a backlight 3 is diffused by the light diffusion member in the hole part sealing material 24 and is made incident on the light reflection transmission plate 41 and is provided from the light reflection transmission plate 41 to the pointer 42 as the illumination light. |
