<p>Composite tile for use as a basic lining material in steel making and casting equipment consists of two metal parts directed towards the cast metal and the mould wall respectively. The parts have smooth surfaces and insulating, refractory or exothermic props. A material contg. a number of cavities is interposed between them, resulting from pyrolysis and volatalisation of the material during drying and baking of the tile. The material is a light org. materialw which undergoes volatalisation and pyrolysis at a relatively low temp.</p> |
