<p>It is possible to modify the keyboard arrangement displayed on a touch screen even by a rough operation. A character input device such as a PDA and a mobile telephone includes: a storage unit (34) for storing a plurality of types of keyboard arrangement images; a display unit (30) for displaying one of the types of the keyboard arrangement images on a touch screen (12); a touch operation judgment unit (31) for judging whether a touch operation is performed on a predetermined region in the touch screen (12); and a display switching unit (33) for controlling the display unit (30) so as to display a keyboard arrangement image other than the keyboard arrangement image being displayed by the display unit (30) among the keyboard arrangement images stored in the storage unit (34) when it is judged that a touch operation is performed.</p> |
