DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR PREVENTING DEADLOCK

A data transmission method for preventing deadlock is provided to solve irrecoverable error in case the irrecoverable error is generated in a specific layer. A base station informs a terminal of the SI maximum number of transmission(Max Tx Num of SI) value of E-DCH through an RRC signal(S510). The terminal transmits SI itself(S520). Again, the value of the SI number of transmission(Tx NUM of SI) is increased by 1 in case the terminal fails in the SI transmission(S530). Once again, the value of the SI number of transmission(Tx NUM of SI) is increased by 1 in case the terminal fails in the SI transmission(S540). The terminal notifies the generation of MAC irrecoverable error to an upper layer in case the SI number of transmission(Tx Num of SI) and maximum SI number of transmission(Max Tx Num of SI) become same(S550). An RRC layer of the terminal performs a cell update procedure through a cell update message including a cause of the MAC irrecoverable error(S560). The base station notifies the terminal the fact that the update procedure is completed through a cell update confirmation message(S570).
