A digital image transmitting device is provided to convert and transmit a digital image signal to an optical signal, distribute the signal easily, and reduce manufacturing and installation costs. A transmission unit(100) converts an electrical digital image signal outputted from an image processing apparatus into a optical signal with a plurality of light sources emitting lights of reciprocally different wavelengths and outputs the signal through an output port. An optical cable transmits the optical signal outputted through the output port of the transmission unit. A receiver receives the optical signal transmitted through the optical cable and restores it to an electrical digital image signal. The receiver outputs the restored electrical digital image signal to a digital image display device.
