The system is based on a B2B (business-to-business) or B2C (business-to-consumer) module and operates by allowing a party to log-in onto an internet website where they can compile a shopping list by entering article codes such as an EAN (European Article Number) code or barcode. The orders are forwarded to the supplier by email or they are directly implemented into a database belonging to the supplier. The party can select products and compare them on the basis of user-defined criteria.
