A rotating machine in which the axial direction support performance is improved is to be provided. A rotating machine includes an axis which the rotating machine(10) passing the main liquid fluid flow(F1) through is mounted in order to rotate about the casing(28) of the rotating machine(20); an active type axial direction balance system(40) suitable because of adding a first axial direction supporting force(R1) to the axis; a circuit about the second liquid fluid flow(F2) generated from the main liquid fluid flow; the circuit about a second liquid fluid flow in the passive type axial direction balance system(42); and an annular passage in which the second liquid fluid flow flows is included between the axis and casing.
