摘要 A lithium secondary battery including a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery, and a manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve the structural stability and electrochemical characteristic of electrode by reducing the volume expansion of a metal active material in charging and discharging, thereby improving the capacity and lifetime property. A negative electrode(10) for the lithium secondary battery having a multilayer thin film structure comprises a metal active material layer(4) including a material forming a solid solution or a inter metallic compound by reacting the lithium at least one side of a current collector; and a transition metal oxide layer(6) formed on the metal active material layer. The metal active material layer and transition metal oxide layer are laminated alternatively to over at least 2 layers.
