<p>A reducing agent blowing apparatus for blowing a gaseous reducing agent from a tuyere (1) of a blast furnace, wherein it has a lance (5) for blowing the gaseous reducing agent and a port (5a) for blowing the gaseous reducing agent positioning at the tip of the lance (5) for blowing the gaseous reducing agent is arranged in the vicinity of the inner side end (1a) of the blast furnace tuyere (1); the above reducing agent blowing apparatus, wherein it further has a lance (7) for blowing a solid reducing agent and a port (7a) for blowing the solid reducing agent positioning at the tip of the lance (7) for blowing said solid reducing agent is arranged upstream in the blast direction from the gas blow-off port of the lance (5) for blowing a gaseous reducing agent; the above reducing agent blowing apparatus, wherein it has a tuyere having a distance between the tuyene tip and the furnace wall (2) of 350 mm to 600 mm; and a method for operating a blast furnace which comprises using the above reducing agent blowing apparatus. The above reducing agent blowing apparatus allows the reduction of the coke rate without the generation of pressure drop even when a natural gas or the like is blown in from a tuyere of a blast furnace as a gaseous reducing agent, and also the inhibition of the temperature rise of the wall of the furnace.</p> |
