A liquid crystal display panel is provided to increase the thru-put by forming gate electrode with the gate electrode at the lowest layer. A gate line is formed on the top of the substrate. A pixel electrode(120) is formed on the same layer as the gate line. A gate insulating layer(115) covers the gate line and pixel electrode. A data line is formed in turns with the gate line while placing the gate insulating layer in the middle. A TFT is formed on the intersection area of the gate line and the data line. A protective film(150) is formed on the gate insulating layer and covers the thin film transistor.
