<p>In connection with the recycling of scrapped tyres (6), the tyres are often comminuted in a plant arranged for this purpose, said plant comprising a comminution unit with mechanical parts which are suitable for the comminution of rubber, but which do not tolerate the supply of foreign bodies (4) in the form of metal parts, stones etc., which often arise among or inside the carcasses 42 of the scrapped tyres (6). The manual work connected with the removal of said foreign bodies (4) is extremely stressing and fatiguing, and at times takes place in a very dirty environment. There is disclosed a plant (2) for the removal of said foreign bodies (4) for placing between a supply (8) of scrapped tyres (6) and the comminution unit, said plant (2) comprising a number of upwardly-inclined conveyors (20, 20') combined with deflectors (38) against which the tyres (6), during a free fall are decelerated and turned, whereby said foreign bodies are ejected through the rim opening (34) of the tyres. The need for the use of manual labour in connection with the removal of said foreign bodies (4) is hereby eliminated.</p> |
