<p>The dyes are of formula: (where R1 and R2 are H or lower alkyl, A1 is 3,4-phthaloyl aeridone attached through a C atom of the acridone ring, A2 is 4-acylamino anthraquinone attached in 1-position and X is a directly attached aryl grp.) In pref. cpds. A1 is attached through the 1-position, R1 and R2 are H, X is phenyl and the acyl group in A2 is benzoyl. They are made by condensing 2-aryl 4,6-dihalogen 1,3,5-triazines with amino 3,4-phthaloyl acridones and 1-amino 4-acylamino anthraquinones in a single-step process. The dyes are suitable esp. for dyeing and printing cellulose and viscose fibres in presence of reducing agents, and they have very good fastness to light and water, esp. to soda boiling and chlorine.</p> |
