The present invention relates to a connector having a generally cylindrical body with a forward end and a rearward end. The cylindrical body includes a first portion having a first inner diameter, a second portion having a second inner diameter, and a transition portion provided between the first portion and the second portion. A tubular post is disposed within the cylindrical body. A fastener is rotatably coupled to at least one of the cylindrical body and the tubular post. A locking sleeve is movably coupled to the connector body, the locking sleeve having at least one recess formed therein and configured to engage the transition portion upon movement of the locking sleeve from a first position to a second position to cause a portion of the locking sleeve to deform radially inward such that the post and locking sleeve provide a compressive retention force upon the cable.
