In a process to renovate the plastic interior surface of a small swimming pool, the pool inner walls are lined with a series of pre-formed and contoured panels (150.1-150.4). The contoured panels are secured by an adhesive. The panels have a sandwich structure with a hard foam base core, a cement outer face and an outer decor layer e.g. tiles.
