A semiconductor device and biasing method thereof is provided to prevent the supply of a precharge power in active mode by controlling a power to a dummy bitline. A semiconductor device and biasing method thereof includes a dummy bitline and a switch supplying a bias voltage to the dummy bitline by a control signal related cell matrix operation. The switch, including an NMOS transistor, is turned off when an active command is supplied to the cell matrix, and is turned on when a precharge command is supplied to the cell matrix. When the precharge command is supplied to the cell matrix, a high control signal is supplied to the NMOS transistor and the bias voltage is supplied to a drain of the transistor.
