The invention essentially concerns a device ( 1.1 ) for a motor vehicle power transmission. Said device ( 1.1 ) comprises a traction chain consisting of a heat engine ( 2 ), a clutch ( 3 ) including first and second clutch disks ( 8, 9 ), an electrical machine ( 4 ), and wheels ( 6 ). The shaft ( 10 ) of the machine ( 4 ) is further connected to a shaft ( 12 ) of the wheels ( 6 ). The invention is characterized in that said transmission device ( 1.1 ) comprises a starter system ( 7 ) mechanically independent of the electrical machine ( 4 ).
