A skin care apparatus using a xenon lamp is provided to automatically check whether it is a filter fitting for the skin care mode by recognizing the selected filter. A skin care apparatus using a xenon lamp comprises: a key input unit(110) including a treatment mode setting key setting up the treatment mode; a controller(210) generating a lamp voltage control signal from the signal of the key input unit; a high voltage inducing unit(310) generating a high voltage signal for driving the lamp according to a lamp voltage control signal from the controller; a ramp driver(410) driving the xenon lamp according to the high voltage signal from the high voltage inducing unit; and an illuminating unit formed of a handpiece controlling the light illumination range and a filter selecting a specific wave range of light.
