#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a processing unit (10) receiving signals from a charge coupled device (CCD) camera (8) and mirrors to extract luminance levels of the signals in correlation with a thickness dimension of a stack (5), and to generate a determined signal i.e. filtered signal. An extraction unit extracts a periodic pattern representing one of thin products (2), from the determined signal.
