The rod has a button group provided with a supply contactor button (41), temperature adjustment buttons (43, 44) and a high temperature contactor button (42), and a probe (3) providing a temperature signal induced at a control collar. The supply contactor button offers a switching control signal to the collar. The buttons (42-44) provide temperature control signals with respect to the temperature signal and the switching control signal to the collar. The collar controls electric current of a heating element of an electrical heating cooking utensil.
