<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that printer description languages include ones for which the setting of a cell having an arbitrary size on a half-tone screen is allowed, i.e., although an arbitrary value can be set for the number of screen lines, when an extremely large cell is designated to the resolution of a device, or an improper angle is designated, there is fear for the shortage of the memory, and the memory actually becomes not enough, and "set screen" and "set halftone" issue a "limit check" error, and the half tone processing actually becomes inoperable. <P>SOLUTION: What kind of number of lines and what kind of angle the number of lines and the angle which are set or designated by data by the user become in the end are notified by displaying them. In this case, even if there is no PS interpreter, this image processing apparatus can cope with one having no interpreter by performing the display by using a corresponding table for the number of lines and the angle which has been formed by the PS interpreter to be used in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
