<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fullness-lasting agent added to food taken as an ordinary meal and consisting mainly of starch or glucide to last feeling of fullness in the stomach so as to suppress eating between meals or excessive eating; and to provide food and drink (diet food) containing the agent. <P>SOLUTION: The fullness-lasting agent contains at least one kind selected from the group comprising hydroxypropyl starch, hydroxypropylated phosphoric acid cross-linked starch and a hydrolysis product thereof.
