PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic program table display device for simplifying a viewer's program retrieval operation in an electronic program table and a changing operation of areas displayed by the electronic program table, and to provide an electronic program table creation method. SOLUTION: An electronic program table state managing part 40 calculates a reference position and a display area of a detailed electronic program table and outputs a display control signal SC3 on the basis of a range/area or the like management information for management, such as a display area of the detailed electronic program table and an electronic program control signal SC2 from a microcomputer. A detailed electronic program table creation part 42 creates a cursor showing the detailed electronic program table and a reference position on the detailed electronic program table on the basis of the display control signal SC3. A whole electronic program table creation part 41 recognizes a display area of the detailed electronic program table on the basis of the display control signal SC3 and creates a cursor (for detailed electronic program table) showing the position and area (time zone width and broadcasting width) of the detailed electronic program table along with the whole electronic program table on the whole electronic program table.
