PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a vertical polarized wave and a horizontal polarized wave of a terrestrial digital radio wave. SOLUTION: An antenna system has a rod antenna 5, a cylindrical antenna 4 which accommodates the rod antenna 5, a first feed unit (11) provided on one end side of the cylindrical antenna 4, and a second feed unit (12) provided on the other end side of the cylindrical antenna 4. Then, the rod antenna 5 is provided with a tiltable unit 51 which can have its direction changed while drawn out of the cylindrical antenna 4. The vertical polarized wave of the terrestrial digital radio wave can be received in a state wherein the cylindrical antenna 4 and the rod antenna 5 drawn out of it are connected in series. Further, the horizontal polarized wave can be received by the rod antenna 5 which is drawn out of the cylindrical antenna 4 and has its direction changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
