The method involves providing a tube (1) with circular cross-section serving in the form of a sample support. A textile sample (2) with a circular cross section, which is larger than the tube cross section, is provided on the sample support. The textile sample is deformed by a penetration body (3) under defined speed with simultaneous strength and distance measurement, where parameters of a gripping examination such as friction, formation of wrinkles, flexural rigidity and compressibility, are adjusted. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for gripping evaluation of textiles.
