An imaging apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to prevent noise which a driving pulse, applied to an imaging device, causes and reduce reading time from the imaging device at the same time. An imaging device includes a plurality of photoelectro converting units, the first memory, and the second memory. The photoelectro converting units are arranged in row or column direction. The first memory memorizes a signal read from the (n-1)th row of the photoelectro converting units wherein n is bigger than 1. The second memory unit memorizes a signal read from the nth row of the photoelectro converting units. A control unit controls the(n-1)th row signal memorized in the first memory not to be output when a level of a driving pulse generated in the imaging device is changed during a reading period when the(n-1)th row signal memorized in the first memory is read.
