<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for the skin, containing an extract of propolis containing isoflavone, having each activity of collagen production-promoting activity, melanin production-inhibiting activity and skin turning over-promoting activity, also having safety and hardly providing skin irritation. <P>SOLUTION: The external preparation for the skin contains the extract of the propolis containing the isoflavone, and obtained from Dalbergia ecastophyllum(L) Taub. classified in the genus Dalbergia of Leguminosae as an original plant.
