<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling-embedded air conditioner having a structure of a suction opening capable of reducing pressure drop without degrading its design. <P>SOLUTION: This ceiling-embedded air conditioner comprises a housing 1 opened at its lower portion, an air blower disposed at the center in the housing, a heat exchanger received in the housing in a state of surrounding the air blower, the suction opening 16 formed at a lower part of the air blower, a filter for cleaning the air sucked from the suction opening, a decorative panel 7 disposed on a lower face of the housing, and provided with a supply opening in a state of surrounding the suction opening in a plane view, a front panel 10 disposed in a state that the suction opening is closable thereby, and a lifting and lowering device mounted at a housing side or a decorative panel side for vertically movably supporting the front panel.
