PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding sensor monitoring device capable of performing monitoring any time without removing a sensor by improving existing test operation. SOLUTION: The monitoring device 10 for a guiding sensor 11 of a mechanical type lift line equipped with one rope 12 comprises a support means fixed and mounted to a block assembly 16. The device 10 is equipped with an operation oblique surface 24 arranged on a test carriage 13 and capable of moving the sensor 11 from a first position for detecting existence of the rope 12 to a second position for detecting absence of the rope 12. The support means of the sensor 11 is equipped with a fixed part 18 fixed and mounted to the corresponding block assembly 16 and movable parts 20, 21, 23 mounted to the fixed part to pivotally move and operating to incline the sensor 11 to the second position for detecting absence of the rope 12 when the test carriage 13 passes, in conjunction with the operation oblique surface 24 of the test carriage 13.
