PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an inosine-containing site in RNA, which can easily distinguish from noises and SNP, analyze only with RNA as an analysis sample, analyze even a small amount of the sample, control a back ground low, and highly sensitively detect the presence of inosine. SOLUTION: This method for detecting the inosine-forming site in RNA includes a process for treating the RNA with a compound having anα,β-unsaturated bond and an electron attractive group to chemically modify the inosine-containing site.
