A bumper for a vehicle for operation on the ground is provided having being formed of superplastic aluminum. The method for making and assembling bumpers made of superplastic aluminum is also set forth. Instructions regarding the tooling needed to manufacture the bumper, as well as the metallurgy and processes, are provided.
