The dispenser has a container (1) receiving a pasty compound, where the container includes an outlet (9) surrounded by an opening edge surface (10). A compression unit (2) is used for applying a pressure in order to press the compound from the outlet. A valve body (11) arranged in the outlet includes an outwardly pointing front surface (12), which lies in a closing position of the valve body shortly to the opening edge surface. The valve body is brought into an opening position by the pressure, where the front surface overlaps the opening edge surface in the opening position of the valve body.
