<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that reduces a manufacturing cost and also prevents a prolongation of a manufacturing period, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, a transmissive electrode 3 is formed on a glass substrate 1. A base electrode 20 is superposed on an end 44a that is a portion of the transmissive electrode 3 on the glass substrate 1. A reflective electrode 4 is formed on the base electrode 20 so as to come into contact with each other. A reflective electrode 4 has substantially the same planar shape as that of the base electrode 20. A terminal electrode is formed on the glass substrate 1, and is composed of the same layer as the transmissive electrode 3. A base wiring 41 is superposed on a portion (end 44b) of the terminal electrode 5 on the glass substrate 1, and also is composed of the same layer as the base electrode 20.
