<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with a polarizer retardation film having excellent environment resistance, also having retardation properties as a retardation function, and having excellent stability in the retardation properties. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for producing a polarizing plate where at least one side of a retardation film and/or a polarizer is coated with a water base adhesive including acrylic resin emulsion, so as to control the moisture content to 20 to 80 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the solid content in the adhesive layer, and thereafter, the retardation film and the polarizer are pasted.
