PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator having a sufficient transient response characteristic. SOLUTION: This voltage regulator has: a first transistor M1 having a source connected to a voltage input terminal 11, and a drain connected to a voltage output terminal 12; a voltage division circuit 14 dividing an output voltage Vout; a first differential amplifier 16 comparing a feedback voltage Vf and a reference voltage Vref; a first driver circuit 17 having an input terminal connected to an output end of the first differential amplifier 16, and an output terminal connected to a gate of the first transistor M1; a second transistor M2 having a drain connected to an output end of the first driver circuit 17, and a source connected to a reference potential terminal 13; a second driver circuit 18 having an input terminal connected to the output end of the first differential amplifier 16; and a second differential amplifier 19 comparing an output voltage V1 of the first driver circuit 17 and an output voltage V2 of the second driver circuit 18, and driving the second transistor M2 according to a comparison result.
