PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a clear multi-level color display by reducing the variations in the electrical characteristics of a semiconductor element. SOLUTION: A part of a semiconductor layer used for a semiconductor element is used as a resistor. Specifically, the display device has the semiconductor element and a light-emitting element electrically connected to the semiconductor layer possessed by the semiconductor element. The semiconductor layer has a region which can be regarded to be the resistor disposed between the semiconductor element and the light-emitting element. The influence due to the variations in the electrical characteristics of the semiconductor element can be reduced by the existence of the region which can be regarded as a resistor.
