PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling suppressing device and method for always obtaining an excellent steering characteristic, regardless of the load of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Auxiliary torque between a front axle and a rear axle is changed according to a first signal estimated from an accelerator pedal operation and/or a second signal estimated from a brake pedal operation to maintain the steering characteristic of the vehicle with a prime mover in an excellent state. In this case, a torque distribution ratio MV between the auxiliary torque acting on the front axle and the auxiliary torque acting on the rear axle is set to be a prescribed first auxiliary torque distribution ratio MV1 during a normal traveling time, and the auxiliary torque distribution ratio MV1 is changed to second and third auxiliary torque distribution ratios MV2 and MV3 according to traveling states.
