PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly type mat for infants, which can be assembled to be put on the floor, and is separated in use for a toy or a seat for infants. SOLUTION: The mat is composed of a number of mat pieces in different shapes, engagement elements formed on edges of the mat pieces for engagement of the mat pieces with each other, and a plurality of connection rods used for joining/separating the mat pieces to/from each other. The mat pieces are shaped like animals such as a dragon, a chicken, etc. The connection rods in plurality are formed polygonal, and in different lengths.
