PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine with an excellent entertainment property. SOLUTION: This gaming machine is provided with: a lower liquid display 16 for displaying a picture related to a unit game; a counter 128 being reset under a predetermined condition and increasing a count value with the execution of a unit game; and a controller 40 controlling to determine the upper limit of the number of bets of monetary values as a condition for acquisition of an insurance pay in the unit game, by an external input, put out a predetermined number of monetary values when the play result of the unit game becomes a specific play result, receive the bets of the monetary values as the condition for the acquisition of the insurance pay, within the upper limit of the number of bets, and produce the insurance pay when the count value reaches the preset upper limit count value in the unit game where the monetary values as the condition for the acquisition of the insurance pay are bet.
