PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly fold a wheelchair concerning a seat elevating/lowering type wheelchair. SOLUTION: The foldable seat elevating/lowering type wheelchair 100 includes: a foldable seat part 20 arranged for allowing a user to be seated with respect to a wheelchair frame 5; a seat holding part 30 for holding the seat part 20; an elevating/lowering unit 40 for vertically performing elevating/lowering, while keeping the horizontal state of the seat part 20 via the seat holding part 30; and a pair of X shape links 25 arranged opposite in the front and rear direction of the wheelchair frame 5 for folding the wheelchair frame 5 in a right and left direction. When the seat elevating/lowering type wheelchair 100 is folded, the rotation loci of both the end parts of the seat part 20 substantially coincides at prescribed interval with those of the upper end parts of the X shape links 25.
