CYCLIC OLEFIN POLYMERS HAVING POLAR FUNCTIONAL GROUPS AND OPTICAL ANISOTROPIC FILMS COMPRISING THE SAME

A cyclic olefin polymer having polar functional groups is provided to ensure excellent adhesiveness to a polymer having metal or the other polar functional group, excellent thermal stability and intensity, and to be used as the insulating electronic due to low dielectric constant. A cyclic olefin polymer having polar functional groups is an addition polymer including the norbornene-based monomer containing polar functional group. The temperature changing the slope of the measured graph in the thermo-mechanic measurement under the condition of a temperature range 30deg.C ~ 350deg.C and a raising rate 10deg.C/min, or in the peak temperature of the measured Tan delta in the dynamic viscoelasticity measurement under the condition of the measured frequency 10rad/s, a raising rate 5deg.C/min and the temperature range 20deg.C ~ 350deg.C, are 250deg.C ~ 400deg.C.
