Disclosed is a multilayer structure for oral applications, which comprises a physiologically active substance which is supported on a carbohydrate and is suitable for oral applications. Also disclosed is a method for producing the multilayer structure. Specifically disclosed is a multilayer structure for oral applications, which comprises: a transparent or translucent first layer mainly composed of a carbohydrate composition; and an opaque second layer which contains a physiologically active substance suitable for oral administration and supported on a crystalline carbohydrate. The multilayer structure may additionally comprise an opaque third layer mainly composed of a carbohydrate composition and laminated on the second layer. Also specifically disclosed is a method for producing the multilayer structure.
