<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light guide capable of preventing light from leaking. <P>SOLUTION: Since a light shielding layer 7 is formed on the side face 2c of a light guide plate 2, light can be prevented by this light shielding layer 7 from leaking from the side face 2c where no light source 3 is provided. Since the light shielding layer 7 is also formed by an in-mold coating method using a mold, the light shielding layer 7 can be inexpensively and simply formed in comparison with other methods such as a sputtering method, a vapor deposition method, a CVD method, or a heat transfer method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
