<p>A MATERIAL HANDLER FOR DEVICES ON A REEL The present invention relates to a material handler for conveying devices on a reel to a tester for testing, said material handler including a rotatable assembly to engage and rotate the devices on reel towards a tester, the tester having a probe tip, a comparator means to compare a position of the device in relation to the probe tip, an alignment means in communication with the comparator means to position the device to the probe tip for testing, wherein the alignment means positions the device to the probe tip for testing to be performed on the device for direct docking. Advantageously, this eliminates the need to rotate the probe to the device on a test head, and further reduces signal length and therefore capacitance in the signal path.</p> |
