PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and convenient stage setting which forms a stage by supporting stage veneers arranged side by side above a floor surface, wherein the stage setting has projections that can pose a danger on a performer who ascends/descends via an opening section formed by removing part of the veneers from the stage setting, facilitates use of a space under the stage, and allows quick alteration thereof. SOLUTION: In the stage setting, the veneers 1 adjacent to each other have their ends detachably engaged on an upper surface of a portal support member 2, and further the portal support member 2 is movably engaged with a surface plate 3 which are laid on a floor surface F and each have a slender slit 3a formed therein.
