PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder lock for use in a door of a vehicle or a building, which surely prevents fraudulent unlocking by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This cylinder lock comprises a cylindrical holder 10 with an engaging groove 18, a cylinder 20 which is rotatably arranged in a holder 10, and a tumbler 32 which is arranged in the cylinder 20. The cylinder lock is put into an irrotational state by engaging the tumbler 32 with the engaging groove 18, and put into a rotatable state by receding the tumbler 32 and disengaging it from the engaging groove 18. The cylinder 20 is provided with a portion (a flange portion 22) to be fractured in a longitudinal direction along a key inserting direction; the holder 10 is provided with a rotation inhibiting portion 16; and the cylinder 20 is provided with an engaging portion (holding portion 28). When an overload is applied along the key inserting direction, the cylinder 20 is fractured along the portion (22); a front side portion 20A of the cylinder is moved forward in the key inserting direction so that the irrotational portion 16 can be engaged with the engaging portion (28); and the front side portion 20A becomes irrotational with respect to the holder 10.
